Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall
57th St. and 7th Ave., NYC
ACO premieres works from four of today’s most exciting composers. Shared connections run through this program with mentors and their protégées premiering new works. Hear Begin by Andrew Norman—Carnegie Hall’s Debs Composer’s Chair—and experience a world premiere by Jane Meenaghan, one of the young composers he coached. Pulitzer Prize winner Ellen Reid also presents a new composition on a program that includes a new work by her teacher, the inimitable George Lewis.
