Plan of ActionOrchestra Tech is a national, five-year initiative with a range of activities that includes performance, education, research, professional development, dissemination modalities and commissioning. These activities are organized into seven component programs, each designed to have national scope and impact:
The Orchestra Technology Conference will take place October 10 14, 2001 in New York City. The conference is presented by American Composers Orchestra in collaboration with the American Music Center, Carnegie Hall, MIT Media Lab, with assistance from the American Symphony Orchestra League, Parnassus Contemporary Music Foundation, Columbia University and New York University, and will bring together a diverse group of composers, technologists, conductors and other music professionals to explore together the applications of technology in the creation and performance of orchestral music.
